MULTNOMAH VILLAGE RESIDENCE | Portland OR

This landscape of this contemporary residence located in Multnomah Village was in need of a complete contemporary renovation to complement the modernity of the home. DELA was tasked with creating outdoor spaces for both the owner and their children and with creating a better experience from the street to the front door and back yard which is has a very steep incline.

The front yard includes a new acid etched driveway, wide stairs up the hillside leading to the front door, a lawn for entertaining and for the children, under deck storage, and a cedar trash enclosure. In order to alleviate the steep slope along the street front, sloped i-beam and wood beam walls accentuate the top of the slope while boulders bread up the monotony of the slope below the wood beam wall.

The back yard includes large format paver patio, built-in seatbenches, a firepit patio and wood beam raised planters. The yard also includes a new wood beam and i-beam retaining wall painted charcoal to match the house.
